Conventional square and rectangular display screens in the market have long fallen into homogenization. This 1.65-inch bar-type TFT module is a deeply optimized display solution we tailor-made for narrow-frame and slender terminal devices. Equipped with the highly mature NV3007 driver IC and a unique ultra-long resolution of 142×428 pixels, it features a special aspect ratio of about 3:8. Breaking the size limitations of traditional standard screens, it is perfectly optimized for slender vertical display scenarios such as information stream scrolling, device status bar indication and compact human-machine interface, instead of simply copying general display specifications.
In actual project implementation, the size and pixel layout of this bar screen are inherently tailored for smart wristbands and TWS earbud charging cases. The 142×428 ultra-long resolution can fully present heart rate data, sports tracking records, scrolling message alerts, earphone battery level and album artwork. Benefiting from native IPS full-view-angle technology, the screen avoids color shift, whitening and viewing angle attenuation when the wrist rotates or under strong outdoor sunlight - an experience that ordinary TN screens cannot match.
Beyond wearable devices, the inherent advantages of its bar shape and pixel layout enable strong compatibility with niche segmented devices. It fits perfectly for data curve display of handheld blood glucose meters and parameter interfaces of portable pulse oximeters, secondary status screens of industrial barcode scanners and industrial PDA extended displays, vertical interactive screens of smart locks and thermostat information panels, as well as QR code windows of shared equipment and status bars of IoT devices. No extra structural modification is required, which greatly saves structural design and software adaptation costs.
Most manufacturers only mark the IPS wide viewing angle parameter without explaining real-world performance. This module adopts genuine IPS panel technology, delivering over 80℃ viewing angle in all directions with no visible color drift. The exclusive 142×428 bar-type pixel arrangement eliminates the rigid scrolling feeling of traditional square screens when displaying vertical content, enabling smoother transition and better visual coherence, especially ideal for products requiring long strip dynamic content presentation.
Powered by the high-performance NV3007 driver IC with mature internal integration, it natively supports 262K full-color display and can drive up to 168RGB×428 pixels. Adopting 4-wire SPI communication, it occupies minimal MCU GPIO pins, effectively simplifying internal wiring and lowering hardware development barriers. More importantly, this driver is natively compatible with mainstream GUI frameworks like LVGL. Developers do not need to transplant underlying drivers from scratch, which greatly shortens the overall R&D cycle - a key advantage widely recognized by our long-term customers.
In terms of display fineness, the 1.65-inch size matched with 142×428 resolution achieves nearly 300 PPI, delivering sharp text, delicate icons, smooth dynamic data and clear waveform rendering without jagged edges, offering far better clarity than entry-level bar screens of the same size.
Power consumption is a core pain point for portable and wearable devices. We adopt a 3-LED parallel backlight solution with a total operating current of only 60mA. It effectively extends the battery life of compact wearable, medical and IoT devices, solving the common industry problem of excessive power consumption in small-sized terminals.
The industrial-grade temperature range of -20℃ to +70℃ is not just a theoretical parameter, but verified by batch high-low temperature cycling aging tests. It maintains stable operation in most consumer electronics, light industry and outdoor IoT scenarios, with no screen freezing or color distortion under extreme low and high temperatures.
Designed with an ultra-slim and compact profile at 16.3mm width, 44.96mm height and 2.23mm thickness, it can be easily embedded into space-limited enclosures such as USB-style devices, pen-type products and wristband wearables, leaving no need for structural designers to reserve redundant space for display assembly.
The shell width of mainstream wristband products is mostly between 16mm and 25mm. The physical width of this 1.65-inch bar screen perfectly fits this range. With an approximate 1:3 vertical aspect ratio, it maximizes the display area within limited shell width, achieving an optimal balance between structural design and display functionality without sacrificing screen size or content layout.
It provides two mature FPC solutions: standard-pitch ZIF connector and solder-type FPC, with a clear 8-pin definition and standard 4-wire SPI protocol. We also support customized FPC length and pin sequence without modifying the internal screen structure, making it highly adaptable to different mainboard wiring designs.
Different from rough square-screen cutting into bar shape by other suppliers, this module adopts exclusive bar-type cutting and lamination processes. Every procedure from glass cutting, polarizer fitting to backlight assembly is specially calibrated, ensuring neat vertical information display and superior product texture compared with ordinary cut-to-size screens.
Equipped with premium original white backlight LEDs, it delivers uniform illumination without dark spots, supporting 0–100% full-range PWM dimming. The standard brightness meets indoor use, while an optional upgraded 1000 cd/m² high-brightness version is available for strong outdoor light environments.
The practical value of IPS lies in stable color and brightness performance from all viewing directions, with no color fading or whitening. The 80℃+ wide viewing angle perfectly adapts to all wrist tilt angles during wearing, allowing users to view data conveniently without adjusting posture deliberately.
Adopting COG (Chip on Glass) packaging technology, the driver IC is directly bonded onto the glass substrate. It realizes ultra-thin module thickness while reducing signal transmission loss, ensuring more stable signal performance and effectively avoiding long-term faults like screen flickering and abnormal display.
All core components adopt mass-production-proven NV3007 integrated solution, including 252-channel source driver, 24-channel GIP driver and 161,784 bytes GRAM. Key materials are sourced from tier-1 supply chains with full traceability, eliminating batch quality risks caused by replacement of non-certified components.
Every production batch undergoes complete reliability tests: high temperature and humidity aging, thermal shock cycling from -20℃ to 70℃, and full ESD protection verification. Instead of random sampling, batch regular inspection guarantees stable performance under extreme temperature, static interference and humid environments.
